Dear Readers and Supporters,

It All Begins Here

Since our formal launch in June, the Speculum Sophiae project has been growing in exciting ways. We are pleased to share a brief update on our progress:

  • New Voices, New Books: We continue to enrich the Women’s Vault. We have now officially registered over 115 women to the Collection—each honored through a unique book that captures her story and contribution to the world, whether large or small.

  • Signed and Connected Copies: To deepen our tribute, we are making special efforts to secure books signed by the women themselves, by their authors, or by others with a meaningful historical, social, or emotional link to their stories. We believe these signatures add a powerful extra layer of connection and tribute.

  • Filling the Gaps: In our search for lesser-known figures, we sometimes discover remarkable women who have never been the subject of a published book. Rather than let their names go unrecorded, we are compiling publicly available articles and materials into limited, library-exclusive prints—ensuring their stories still find a permanent place on our shelves.

Our numbers remain modest, but the support has been anything but. Thank you to everyone who has donated a book or suggested a name—your generosity and engagement mean the world to us.
